Just heard about this through your post. Insane, but not surprising, unfortunately. Saving grace is it's Trump + Bolsonaro's execution abilities that saved the day.

Yeah the freedom phone. IIRC it was just right-wing apps pre-installed on a Chinese phone brand with really outdated specs.

I know it's been 8 months now, but I'm still in disbelief at how an admin can speedrun their relations and reputation into the ground so quickly.
As an aside, I wonder how Hoekstra's interactions with his wife go at home. I pity her.

Same could be said for the admin, hard to find some that are, in good faith, passionate about the CA-US rel'n.

Been moving exposure more and more into Canadian markets over the past year. Valuations were lower, stable businesses. They've moved up a bit now, but stability, decent yields, some (albeit slower) growth, but more importantly can sleep at night. Plus any cadusd appreciation boosts return further.
