Only child. Mother of four. Chronic overachiever. Learning a lot about neurodivergence. Probably promoted beyond her level of competence...
I did it to myself.🤦‍♀️When we moved, I taped coloured sharpies to each light switch so that the boxes could have colour-coded labels. Our clever toddler climbed into the baby's crib, shoved it off the wall toward the light switch, coloured on herself, the baby, the walls, the bedding and the crib.

Please also know that voter suppression is unfortunately still alive and well.

I vote to hopefully have a voice in my community and country, but I also vote to honour the brave men and women who fought and died to give me that opportunity. Voter apathy breaks my heart.

Certainly. 😊

My 7 year old heard me on the phone requesting a lawn sign yesterday and was working on this when I hung up. 😊

Hubby (who puked all night Wednesday) ought to win some kind of medal for shoveling his folks' driveway after the largest snowfall of the year.
Thankful for a neighbour with a snowblower for our driveway! 💖
Grateful we are upright and eating solids again today in preparation for the next storm. 🇨🇦💪😆

Next kid is down. I repeat next kid DOWN. 😱

Spouse and I both feeling off.

3rd & 4th kids looking green.

This does not look good, people! The 7-year-old may need to be in charge tomorrow...

Take care of yourself.

White supremacy needed to be rooted out and killed dead back then. The segregated South ended up becoming a model for Nazi Germany...

People felt unsafe *because they were unsafe* and no one fixed that while it was fixable.

I think maybe I understand 🇺🇲 gun culture a little better now.

Yep. But it says the *rate* is 4x not the raw numbers.

I've been thinking... The "individual rights" vs "collective responsibilities" mindset makes a big difference, but I wonder if that actually stems from the lack of moral courage after the civil war.

Right. That seems oddly dismissive of death and injury, but even so, your flies are farting 4x more than ours... Just sayin'.

But arming individuals for personal defence was not our response, for whatever reason, and it really has made for a safer society in the long run.

I can't argue with Ida B. Wells-Barnett about the law refusing to give protection to black homes and families in the US. She lived and documented those failures.

And Canada is not immune to ugly racist policies or policing, past and present.

Have lost count of how many times our littlest bean has thrown up since 4:15. 😔
Zero stars.

...to use them with skill and respect, same as any other potentially dangerous tool.

We heated with a wood stove, so I also learned to use chainsaws, axes and hatchets. Guns fell into the same category: "Use wisely, as needed."

Dangerous tools deserve respect, but *reverence* is the 🇺🇲 vibe.
