One of Edinburgh's many old railway lines, repurposed as a foot and cycle path, runs underneath Rodney Street. All generations use the route, but it's not clear how many people adhere to the dietary instructions helpfully written on the bridges...

Childhood memories of summer holidays. Old 'uns content to do nothing, hyperactive kids wanting action. So the infants were encouraged to talk to the other youngsters on the beach. Making temporary friends with unfamiliar accents and curious names was the trademark of the summer break...
