Like damn these movies are gorgeous and so well designed and so intricately planned and so expensive to produce for the writing to be so surface level and lacking of nuance that the allegory kinda requires. I feel like if they were worse movies they'd be more interesting than them just being nothing

It's the surface level themes & characters, it's the weird native american allegory, the white savior narrative, the nausiating 48fps, the scatter-brained plotlines, the wasted potential. I want to like it, I want it to be good, but ultimately the movies just make me feel nothing and that sucks.
