He cares not for you, for your wives and children, or for the well-being of any American. He cares only for his ascension to power. He cares only for his corruption of the American government.

No one has stopped him; the price of eggs remains inflated. The conflict in Ukraine rages worse than before. Our deficit continues to grow. And, our people remain poor and houseless.

In your hatred for them, he has asked you to give him the rights to unwarranted deportations. You did. He has asked for you to give him nauthorized militia use. You did. He has organized a parade in his honor reflecting the authoritarian regimes of China and Russia.

Your hopes and dreams drift away in the winds of tyranny because you, America, were tricked by a despot - a despot who utilized your hatred towards the ill-fortuned to give himself power.

This is not the America you and I envisioned growing up. This is not the America you and I wished to see. This is not the America I wish to live in. America you are crippled. Your rights are failing. Your freedoms decay.

Perhaps there are still some who say that America has never stood for this, and still I ask: why not stand for it now, while the world rages in war in political chaos?

There are some who say that America has never stood for this, for immigration of any kind. I kindly ask them: Where did your ancestors come from? Who tills the soil from which your tables are filled? Who built your roads and towers? Who fought for you in war and defended you in peace?

It was a hope to all the people of this world that America would save them from political persecution and poverty. It was a hope of a better life exonerated from war and genocide. It was a hope for liberty and justice. Is that not our anthem?

What happened to “Give your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free”? Have you forgotten America, the monument you once were?

That brazen torch stretched across the globe, a beacon in the darkest corners of the world. What was this light? It was hope.

People who came to this country for freedom and the right to exist only to be met by a broken and crooked system - a system that promised them sanctuary only to have that promise ripped away from their barren arms. Where is Lady Liberty? What happened to her open arms?
