The insatiable hunger for power, and wealth is all consuming, leaving the desecrated remains of humanity and empathy in it's wake.
The position once entrusted with helping to uphold the safety of the free world, now employs rhetoric of dominance and an appetite for coercion to pillage and plunder.

Greed staining everything it touches, revealing the true cost of it's conquests. Beneath the lies of stability, liberation, and security grows the desire to control resources. Oil, minerals, and extraction routes form key layers to global economic domination.

While the abduction of foreign leaders and threats against sovereign nations became instruments of leverage forged through spectacle and fear. A thinly veiled artifice of salvation from one dictator, reveals itself as nothing more than a trade to another. The posturing of hemispheric takeover, and language of inevitability are symptoms of the constant need to be fed.

Who benefits from making nations into meals, and crisis into courses. The gluttonous use propaganda to polish their addiction into righteousness, painting wealth as bounty while the runoff poisons the ground beneath.

Our country has reinterpreted this phenomenon of volatility, as a human and political condition. Here, the heat is not chemical but ideological. The vapors are not of fuel but of fear, division, and state control. Now we reside in a nation forced to confront its own reflection of fractured patriotism, where duty and conscience collide beneath the weight of authority. As the First Amendment (the right to speak, assemble, and dissent) erodes and militarized agencies turn inward on communities they once served, the widening divide between governance and humanity is exposed. Peaceful protestors, once the lifeblood of democratic expression, now face the threat of tear gas, rubber bullets, and surveillance. The state’s armor gleams brighter than its empathy, displaying not glory but guilt. Our time has passed to contemplate if ignition can be prevented. We are left questioning who will be consumed when it arrives, a nation burning from within, where patriotism is weaponized, and silence, like oxygen, feeds the fire.$

$A bullet cut from diamond is not a vision of strength, but of contradiction. It reflects the glittering allure of profit, the cold brilliance of power, and the faceless markets that thrive on human suffering. Polished surfaces refracting not beauty, but silhouettes of children fleeing, families fractured, and mard bodies. These shapes are the true currency of war and violence, dispersed in light for all to see, though so often ignored. The widening gulf between those who profit and those who perish is what we are left to confront. Gun violence and conflict have become lucrative industries, sustained not only by manufacturers and merchants, but by the lobbying that chisels policy in favor of power over people. For some, every round produced is a dividend, every life lost a statistic folded neatly into quarterly growth. For others, it is an unending cycle of grief, absence, and fear. This work seeks to hold that paradox in a single frame; the precious forged into the lethal, the celebrated into the catastrophic. It questions how long we will continue to mistake wealth for value, and how many must vanish in the refracted light before we reckon with the true cost of the profits of war.$

The placement of our nation's troops mirrors the casual ease of a child commanding battles in their bedroom. Yet here, the consequences are neither imagined nor harmless. Lives, communities, and futures are reduced to plastic pieces, maneuvered in service of authority. Camouflaging control as protection and cruelty as order.

The use of false narratives to federalize National Guard exposes the peril of fabricated fear. Crafted over time by instilling mistrust in any entity that does not conform to the whims of the 47th President. It was not truth that moved soldiers into our streets, but a fiction formulated to consolidate control. Citizens were re-imagined as suspects, and defenders into pawns. Our cities have been augmented from the shared soil of a nation, into a game board, where power dictates the rules and the people bear the cost.

Play, once innocent, now reflects tyranny. To toy with soldiers is to toy with families, with freedom, with the very fabric of democracy itself. When leaders trivialize truth and treat citizens as expendable, the future of a nation hangs in the balance.

Will we remain pieces in someone else’s game, or will we reclaim the board and write rules that honor the dignity of every life?
