A recently purchased SMC autofocus lens, 25+ years old and works perfectly. This lens, like most of the older Pentax SMC lenses (SMC Pentax 100mm F2.8 Macro, comes to mind), is built like a tank and heavy. This lens is in the older 28-70mm zoom, versus the current 24-70mm zoom range.

And some of the Sony A-mount lenses are nothing more than the Minolta AF lenses rebranded without any physical changes.
My main battle camera is a Pentax K-1 M2, released in 2018, used with FA* lenses, which are at least 25 years old. That old "vintage" glass just knocks it out of the park.

I, too, own that awesome Alpha 9, and that 85mm AF-G lens, great work!
