I was surprised too, since I remembered it having a different sound, but I looked it up, and I can confirm that they share the same sound in Melee, just as OP said in a different post.

For the Freezie? Maybe in 64 if it exists there, but it actually has a different sound starting from Brawl rather than sharing one with the Homerun Bat like it does in Melee.
