Very true. My worry is that giving them any sort of “understanding” about their choice might give them just enough to shirk responsibility.
At the end of the day their vote is what’s causing this, and all of them need to be held accountable. I also don’t want to push people farther away.

I see your point, but something has to be said for those willingly ignoring everything they have access to on the internet. I agree that if you have a pre-existing belief then you probably won’t bother listening to people online, but you had the opportunity. Regardless, their vote is causing this.
