Am I a super dense, highly magnetic neutron star spinning at crazy speeds? No. But I am a (sometimes) super dense nerd who likes dressing up in costumes I make and competing with other nerds who also dress up. I also read, play video games and sometimes DM
Seriously, I can’t wait till your next book comes on preorder. I’m so throwing down money. I love your work, it makes me feel all the things and your worlds feel lived in. Your characters like they’re real: and like many of them would be people I’d love to be friends with.

Especially if you also lean into the ability to loan purchased ebooks to friends and made it possible via internet connection & Friends List and/or made it possible to directly gift specific ebooks in a similar fashion!

With how hated Bezos is, and with more and more people wanting to get away from spending on Amazon, this is absolutely an opportunity to come in swinging and eat their dinner.

There really was opportunity for Rowling to have it be a moving and profound plot point.

Part of me still holds out hope that she’ll come around and realize that she’s being/been terrible, and make an effort to be a better person. It’s not impossible- but I’m not going to hold my breath.

It’s been years now, and I still have to recon with her being so hateful and actively harming people- but writing a story about how love, friendship, forgiveness and determination prevails that has had an impact on me being who I am, as I loved and grew up with her work.

It seemed a realistic way for teens/pre-teens to react, in both Hermiones reaction to house elves slavery and the reaction of kids who grew up with that as part of their reality. It wasn’t until after she outed herself as actively horrid that I started looking back and going…”Oh no.”

I had no idea she was such a tool from her writing- I always thought that the SPEW subplot was just a way of showing how some (often many) people don’t take it seriously how the status quo is/can be bad, just because it doesn’t immediately affect them.

I never read Gaiman- mostly because I just didn’t *get* to him. I’m heartbroken for his victims, and sad for his fans. I was one of those people who loved Harry Potter- and absolutely had to come face to face with a flawed work I adored having been written by a vile human. It sucks.

- to what I was hand embroidering before my injury last year. I feel very, very lucky that DMC makes a machine #embroidery thread in the same finish and color code as their floss for work by hand. Hopefully my machine will play nice!

Awesome! One of these days you should finish up InuYasha! It’s a good one, and the English voice cast is solid enough that I would do housework/cook dinner while listening to it on the slower episodes.

I really enjoy DM’ing- I’m gonna start printing up Dungeon Forge tiles for my next campaign. :)
