You can't look at it as having any financial impact. What it does is show solidarity. It will let them know that there are many people who don't agree with the countries current direction. Lack of participation will only add fuel to their madness.

I had hoped that with the upside-down flag it would be taken as "We the People" are in distress under the current administration. In hindsight, it looks like it may not be seen that way.

The political landscape has changed dramatically since we met last summer. I was lost and baffled then. That hasn't changed, but it's the new feeling of defeat that I can't shake. It's not a bad sentiment in that my biggest fear is becoming complacent. Balance that with daily life is the challenge.
