I don't mind yellow paint in games, but I prefer the ability to turn it off or having breadcrumbs that are turned on via a keypress then fade away if I'm stuck if that makes sense. I would still take yellow paint vs the main or sidekick solving every puzzle I get to while I'm thinking for 10 seconds

Fair, but if I was being paid millions to be able to get into that spot if I needed to, and had a team of other coordinators telling me if my bumper was too close on either side as reminders in my ear, I'd hope I'd be able to do it consistently.

Interesting concept drawing. I think it's a possible idea but could cause some weirdness if it filtered down to lower leagues like College (or d-leagues or other leagues worldwide).

So in that case the sides stay the same distance but the arc just extends further back behind the top of the key/free throw circle? Seems like we would get even more 3 pointers from the side if it becomes even more advantageous to do so (outside of shooters like Curry hitting from half court)

No disagreement there, the corner 3 is pretty busted all the way back to Double Dribble on the NES.
I think it would look odd if the arc stopped on the sides though coming to a tiny point (assuming they didn't make it a straight line instead)

Thanks for the clarity, I must have been thinking of Sony as iirc the PS4 was also profitable. And then, of course, Nintendo has been selling consoles at a profit as far back as I can remember

Are they still? They were generations ago, but I was under the impression that this generation and possibly last generation were all profitable at sale, especially this far in

I think it's more that if you already have a Sony console or PC that there isn't much need to get an Xbox, especially this late in the cycle (4 years in). But like you said, it could at least lessen a decline. Time will tell if next generation is different.

Jump on scroll wheel was the way to do it back in the day for bunny hopping in tfc and cs1.6
