After Eight: The Story of Satpal Ram, produced by Black and Brown — a short, hard-hitting and deeply emotional film on a 24-year miscarriage of justice. Eight years in solitary, brutalised by racist guards for refusing guilt. A powerful story of defiance, resilience and collective resistance.

Excellent article by @dooleydooley.bsky.social in The Irish Post on a sold-out London event I organised about protest, policing, and British state impunity.

Gareth Peirce linked the crackdown on Palestine solidarity at Glastonbury to the 1988 banning of Streets of Sorrow/the Birmingham Six. 1/2

Brian Dooley commented: “The Northern Ireland conflict was and still is too often a blind spot for much of Britain.
Levels of knowledge about what happened are shockingly low. It’s vital to bring these issues to London and other major centres to help educate the public”

The ad van has been circling key London sites all week. Day four of five - filmed today at Downing Street. @finucanecentre.bsky.social

In 1997, Sean Brown - a father of six - was abducted by loyalist paramilitaries and murdered, shot six times in the head. Now MI5 are refusing to release vital info on the role of state agents and a Public Inquiry has been refused. A new petition has just launched to demand that inquiry.

My mum, Swatanter Mayor (1940–2024), was part of the 1984 Ford Dagenham strike for equal pay. Her journey was one of resilience and strength, fighting for fairness in the workplace. Her story is a powerful reminder of the importance of trade unions and collective action.
