First speech bubble: it’s a precursor to a general strike. The average American has no class consciousness, so we gotta start somewhere before just saying “hey we’re boycotting indefinitely.” I’m 100% on board with a general strike starting right this second, but that’s not gonna be widespread. People need to understand why it’s important and how it works first. Response speech bubble: aren't people just going to stock up on items & services the day before? Or the day after? Or both? Purchases spike the day before the strike, zero on Strike Day, and purchases spike the day after the Strike so it all evens out over the course of a 3-day period? I doubt companies would care or even feel the impact. Or am I missing something?

First speech bubble: if people could just stop buying [shit emoji] from chains and corporations, in all ways possible, and switch to shopping small and local—Not just one day or two days but all days and indefinitely—it will not only hurt the 0.01% but at the same time protect a local economy and local businesses.

If enough people participate, it can cause a blip in Monday's stock reports. it will remind the mega corporations (that donated so much to the Republican cause) that without consumers making purchases, they’re toast. First speech bubble: Listen up everyone! As our first initial act, we turn it off. For one day, February 28. we show them who really holds the power. On February 28, Only buy essentials that are absolutely necessity. (Food, Medicine, Emergency Supplies). If you must spend, ONLY support small, local businesses. Second speech bubble, in response: Wow, 24 whole hours of not buying stuff that people will then buy the next day. This will show ‘em! These “protests” are pointless and usually very poorly organized. You need way more than one day to make the point.
