My walk this morning to Fisherman’s Point on Gunston Cove along the Potomac River. There were arctic tundra swans and a couple of great blue herons. No fishermen though.

Here are a few Guard troops in the Metro Center station a few weeks ago. You can see how much crime is going on. Being a retired Army officer and former enlisted Soldier, I empathize with them. The Soldiers I chat with are bored and embarrassed to be stuck doing a meaningless mission.

MAGA keeps lying to America saying we are violent, but there were various MAGAits, White House staffers, and 1%-ers walking freely around and through the throngs of No Kings marchers. People even said “excuse me” if they accidentally jostled someone on the crowded sidewalks.

TACO couldn’t handle patrons exercising the most fundamental right of this great nation: to freely criticize those in power. So the Secret Service closed Lafayette Park. They had fences and plywood walls blocking Pennsylvania Ave and high temporary fencing along G Street.

Just like in DC. This is what the National Guard was doing when they weren’t picking up trash (you have to look very closely to see them). I took this at Metro Center which was fairly busy. I think they found the quietist platform to hide in. I’d be embarrassed too if I were them.

If you look very closely at the far end of the platform, you will see two National Guard soldiers “protecting” DC residents in the Metro Center Metro station in the middle of a busy morning. The station was fairly busy, I think they were hiding from the public.

The Fairfax County Public School Board in Virginia unanimously passed a resolution recently observing Transgender Day of Visibility. It’s the 10th largest system in the US. The far right has long seen FCPS as a prime battleground but voters keep kicking them to the curb.

The Fairfax County, VA School Board took the opposite approach and unanimously passed a motion in support of trans students.

There were 70,000 people at VP Harris’s rally on the Ellipse. The overflow crowd spilled out around the Washington Monument. Way bigger crowd than any of trump’s.

Crowd estimate of the DC #HandsOff march is 100,000. A few more than the “Tens of thousands” MSM is reporting nationwide. News coverage is seriously downplaying the magnitude of this event, but it’s hard to censor when millions of participants and passersby across the country saw it firsthand.
