Speaking as an older voter, we want competence. Something that Skippy lacks. Don’t count us out. Many traditional conservative voters do not want anything to do with the current party’s nonsense. They’re voting Liberal.

Never, ever take this for granted. Every single vote is important. Look to the south for inspiration. We can’t let that happen.

That’s good! I’m kind of stressed out, but finding my balance by reading murder mysteries again. I’m in Louise Penny’s third book. Why did I not find these sooner? They’re a delight! Almost as good as Murder She Wrote.

Skippy is clueless, and WAY out of his depth here. Isn’t it sweet how his hero is trying to use reverse psychology to get us to vote for him? I’m hoping and praying that we see a Carney majority to get us through this mess.

How are you? My BlueSky feed hasn’t brought you to my attention for months! I need to do something to fix it. I followed too many starter packs and now I don’t see anyone who I intentionally followed.

I love his eyebrows! So expressive!

Yes. As a national park, there’s very little by way of housing, and it’s exorbitant. Canmore is outside of the park limits. It’s beautiful, quite progressive for Alberta, but housing is pricey. You don’t get that close-up view of the mountains without paying for it!

If I had no ties and could objectively choose where in Canada to live, it would be a tough choice. Vancouver Island is beautiful, progressive and has a temperate climate but is expensive. Manitoba currently has the most progressive government and a great music scene but the winters are tough.

It’s where I live too and if my home and family weren’t here, I would have left years ago. She’s been doing a lot of things that the majority of Albertans strongly oppose. I’m not sure where the breaking point will be. Right now, there’s a financial scandal that could topple her. Fingers crossed!

One rogue province.
But if the opposition Conservatives win the upcoming election, it’s all on the table, including women’s access to reproductive care. Scary times.

There are so many Albertans opposed to this, and with very good reason. The downstream repercussions will stretch miles and miles past those ranches. It’s a rotten shame, and heartbreaking.

She also wants to lower the temperature on what her government is doing to the future of our clean water. Coal mining will destroy our environment and over 70% of us don’t want it, but there’s short-term $$ to be made so she’s sliding it through.

I had read somewhere that the people taking drugs and guns from Canada to the US are almost exclusively US citizens returning from visits to Canada. (Those guns didn’t come from Canada)

The starter packs have been the death of me. I wish I could wipe the slate clean and start over!

Welcome! Just saw your post on FB, letting us know to find you here. Glad to have you over here!

It's an interesting read.
Believe it or not, I have yet to see him perform. I should do that.

I believe that many women would not hold the same sentimental view of their lives in the 1970s. We’re not to keen on going back to that.

What do you mean, you’re getting no engagement here? 🤓 Good to see you posting more, but I had to look you up. Your posts weren’t showing in my feed. …sigh… why couldn’t Zuck just be a decent person? It’s so much easier over there.

😄 The latest I heard is that Meta won’t be fact checking after the election. I hear the sound of a flushing toilet, but I think X has clogged the drain.
I won’t boycott all of Meta because FB is how I stay in touch with folks dating back to childhood, all over the world. But I am also cutting back.

Thanks for recognizing and adding me, Ann! I’m still trying to figure out how to make 🦋 work for me. I feel like I’m in a crowded room, or maybe at a stadium concert searching for my friends! I’m going to try to create a feed of my favourites, people whose posts I don’t want to miss.

Yes, he is. It’s an ignorance born of great privilege. No bad thing can touch him.

And subsequent surveys have been highly skewed, with no ability for the respondents to adequately object to the proposals. They don’t want to know that so many of us object to what they’re doing!

Yay!!! So pleased to see you here!
