Fiber artist, gently retiring from raising alpacas. I enjoy living rural, spinning and knitting, vegetable gardening, cooking, graphic design, and reading historical fiction and mysteries. #alpacas #fiberart #knitting #spinning #vegetablegarden
Assorted textures and colors on The Road Trip, a KAL shawl on Ravelry. I’m enjoying the sock yarn’s serendipitous patterning, paired with blue and leaf green solids. #kalknit #knitshawl #knitincolor #sockyarnshawl

Mike made a yummy loaf with the addition of dark chocolate chips, Triple Sec, and Creme de Cacao, then dusted with cocoa powder. The orange flavor got lost, so next time we'll zest it up, but the texture and subtle chocolate are perfect to my taste.

Cuts to Medicaid, etc is the distraction so you don’t notice that buried in the text is a king-making clause!

Lichen is a magnificent collaborative organism, algae + fungi.

If a leafless, rootless, spineless organism can flourish, why can’t we behave with mutually empowering relationships? It seems the “lower kingdoms” have acquired the knack for diversity.
