YES. We used to get it in a jar when I was a young girl, like 70s 80s. It was so common and we did call it mincemeat, meat being the meat of the fruit, right!?! I make an Italian mince for cookies with dates, raisins, figs etc., but I'd love to find the jar again! You brought back memories! 🤗

OMG! I am so happy you are aware of mince pie! And, yes, I am American, but also Cajun/German/Irish. lol. I cannot find the mix anywhere anymore. It had raisins, currants, dates, other dried fruit. My mother's favorite during the holidays!

Is this going to be a continuous thing? Because I can't make it to DC for at least three weeks due to a medical procedure. But a continued sit-in is what we need. I can be there by the second week of December and stay through the last week of January. Not kidding!
