Parks like Joshua Tree saw damage during the 2020 shutdowns that experts expect will take 200 - 300+ years to recover from. Slashing staff and protections for these parks is not reducing waste. Our parks are at risk NOW.

Aside from not being a financial waste, national parks provide value as: a public service, community resource, third space, wildlife habitat, recreational area, historical preservation, tourism, environmental protection, etc etc etc.

Southern Utah in particular is extremely dependent on the economic stimulation provided by park tourism from our national parks. Washington County’s community is directly impacted by actions against our parks.

Thrifting in Utah:
