Thats unfortunate. I wonder when the money people recognize that a feature is only finished once everything is cleaned...
I heard that some people clean first and then implement the feature. Sadly I lack the foresight to do it myself, but maybe that's a way.

I'm teaching my sister basic CompSci and she wanted to do it in rust.

It also can do the color that the normal Java tooling can't. I hope this makes it easier to read and distinguish noise from useful information.
