The segment seems to contradict Bari’s assertion that the Trump administration didn’t respond to request for comment. Per the report, 60 Minutes reached out to DHS who declined a request for an interview and referred all questions about CECOT to El Salvador.

Where do you live in the US? Where I live atm the police and firefighters are in the same unions and they are very well paid. Our FDs are so well funded, they have more hook and ladder trucks than ambulances

The swamps were re-drained (the Romans had partly drained them and washed the salt from the soil until they left the area to the Byzantines) because of the malaria-carrying mosquitoes that were one reason the area was lightly populated for centuries beforehand
