Try number 2 is underway with a new SCOBY (couldn’t find a local one, although I’m sure they exist). 🤞pH started out nice and low, and I sent it some good vibes as I introduced it to its new home. We’ll see in about a week!

Update on my return to booch brewing - my SCOBY never spawned, just created a very thin layer up at top. Had to scrap this batch, sadly. I will not be deterred; a new SCOBY is on its way. (I think the first one spent too much time on the front porch when it got delivered and got too cold.)

ChatGPT thinks I should be 20 years younger, 20 pounds lighter, have a $10M view, no kids, and live in a perfectly cozy house. 🙃

This brew here makes me so happy! I was so sad to give up kombucha brewing back during pandemic when life got overwhelming and I couldn't keep up with anything. We're back, though, and there's my new "mother" SCOBY in her new home.
