While these protests are amazing nothing will change or matter until the midterm elections - IF they happen. So much has happened in the past year, be prepared for much, much more in the coming year, including Trump finding a reason to cancel the midterms. It will be a huge turning point!!

Yes, when he was in the UK two weeks ago, he was kept well away from the public. All the ‘pageantry’ took place behind closed doors & in the private grounds of Windsor Castle. Also, when Obama visited, he got to meet the Royal children. Not so for Trump, he was nowhere nr them on either state visit.
