I used to put my dog in a pumpkin hat when she was being extremely annoying (it didn’t bother her all that much, and she looked so ridiculous that I couldn’t be irritated at her).

The other thing I like is that each entry in the database gets its own page, so I made templates to store my actual notes about each article. It’s flexible, so I have different templates for different types of articles (empirical vs law reviews) and articles I read for different reasons (methods).

This is very similar to what people to in excel, but I like this because it gives you more flexibility in what you store. I store a link to the marked up article on Goodnotes (but you could also include the actual pdf). It also has an app, is available on the web, syncs everything, and is free.

I have a system for this! I have a notion database that I use to store all of the important information (citation, etc., but also some key facts about the paper like what is being evaluated and what the outcome is - the screenshot only has the first few columns).

The Michigan Department of Treasury has incredibly helpful explainer presentations about cannabis taxes in their state, but this is BY FAR my favorite slide
