The paradox of tolerance is a philosophical concept attributed to Karl Popper suggesting that if a society extends tolerance to those who are intolerant, it risks enabling the eventual dominance of intolerance, thereby undermining the very principle of tolerance.

Our family health insurance premiums will be going up by 23% next year over what we're paying now. If we'd stayed with my employer it would have gone up 28%.

Chances of cost of living raises in the new year coming anywhere close to covering that, not to mention other increased costs? ZERO

I'm fairly certain that IT using font size 8 on our in house software is ageist. Is that a thing? It seems like it's a thing.

The top three things Jesus was on about were feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and welcoming the stranger. Rich men have convinced so-called Christians to starve the hungry, gut health care, and deport the stranger to enrich themselves. It’s astoundingly anti-Christ.

I wonder about all of his sycophants' dedication to lying. The way Leavitt and Bondi just lie out right with not just a straight face, but with passionate conviction, it's astonishing.
I am completely awestruck by the ease with which Mike Johnson lies on a daily basis. I'll never understand how such a transparently fraudulent "man of faith" can live with themselves. Life is too short to be that phony.

Kicked October off with a bang. Amazing Harry Potter themed tea at La Patisserie Chouquette. A super fun witch gathering in a local community. Extremists frantically praying for all of the naughty witches. It was a full day.

Turns out that feeding husband as he gets older and finickier is much like feeding a toddler. Find out the exception and work with it. Food that he doesn't like becomes palatable when it's wrapped in a flour tortilla and called a burrito. Follow me for more tips for living with an old man. 😜

145 AM Saturday morning I got a text from my 21 yo college senior. He counted 10 shots fired right under his balcony in a midsized college town. He was watching the emergency activity. Cops on scene in seconds. Girl shot dead walking path he walks every day. 2 others injured. Fucking gun culture.

I tried to thoughtfully express something on my mind on… mumbleothersite… vile, fragile man baby begins harassing me and friends with misogynistic bigoted bullshit. I snapped back. Husband now worried exercising my 1A rights may make me vulnerable. Friday fun in the USA.

No, frat bros at the roof top bar, I do not want you to pour beer in/on me from your perch at the ledge. Thanks for asking.

This may be a simplistic take: MSM is presenting CK's death as a "political killing". The man was a podcaster opining about politics. They don't know who the killer is, much less the motive. I detest that they are feeding into the assumptive narrative, I don't care how plausible of a guess it is.

I loved Bewitched as a kid.
I didn't get it then - Endora was 100% on point.

Me: beautiful day! I’ll spend it in the garden, cleaning up the flower bed for fall!
Next day me: I hate myself and my choices. I’m too old for this. Where’s the ibuprofen?

There was something I missed that I now understand with grave reality — people lived their lives under repressive systems. They still worked and cooked and ate and wrote and talked to neighbors. They still took walks and watched movies and read books.

A second cousin declared she agreed with 🟠🤡 stating it was OK for teachers to have sex with underage students and was offended when I pointed out that meant she is OK with pedophilia. Then she declared that EVERYONE in Arkansas LOVES Trump [no]. She disconnected first - thin skinned. So long No Loss
