That Samuel Delany pic is so nuts??? He’s so young I don’t recognize him at all!

I can’t speak to accessibility questions directly but in my general experience concord is a pretty hostile and unpleasant venue, I wish the best but it’s just not fun or easy to be inside there :(

That’s a lot of purchases Jean lol. I think if like, it’s busy and you see people eying you for your table I try not to linger too much, beyond that I think you get at least 2-3 hours depending on the spot and how busy it is, maybe more if you’re a regular

Absolutely! He’s so lovely and down to earth, truly the best energy. I’m glad you enjoyed!

Omg every year I get the invite but it’s always in a little crawl space or something and I can never actually make it :( happy for them though

I desperately miss living next to Primo Chukis at Lawrence and Paulina! They make their tostadas with two tortillas instead of one, and their green sauce is the perfect balance of heat and flavor for my baby white person taste buds.

I feel like we’ve lost so much common sense. Even if Covid ended tomorrow, I’d still mask if I felt crummy, and on transit and in most big crowds. We can get back to that mentality, it won’t kill us! But the alternative might!

When I asked a group of (former) friends who were all AFAB non-binary people to not use the f-slur in a ‘reclaimed’ way for a few days after it was used to target me and another trans woman on the bus, I was told that I was just being a white woman leaning on their only point of marginalization 🙃

Best of luck Rory! Having been in a situation where I was out of the country for a childhood dog passing, and then home for two others when I was an adult and it just worked out that I was home, I know how hard that feeling is.
