So retailers are disappointed with sales after the holiday. I haven't looked at the numbers, but I hear they are mostly blaming tariffs. Maybe they ought to do a little reflecting on all the ways they have abused us over decades with their greed. I, for one, have had it.

We need a new word that can convey just how off-the-charts vile and embarrassing and corrupt this administration is. None of the words we currently have seem strong enough.

Republicans want to put work requirements on accessing any of our social safety nets even though many are already working. Let's put work requirements on being a member of Congress. Don't want to do your job? Find another line of work.

We are facing economic chaos thanks to the horrific bill. Now is the time to pay off credit cards and hold on to as much cash as possible. I wouldn't put it past them to bring back debtors prisons. Show all the corporations the we the people are the ones in charge. #walletsclosed

Folks, follow the money! Pam Bondi was a lobbyist for a private prison company. Same company donated big to Trump's campaign. Who is raking in the dough from contracts to hold detainees from these ice raids? Making bank off people's hate. Sickening.

Joni Ernst was pretty comfortable being so snide to her constituents. Why? She probably assumes she will be re-elected next year. She could be depending on the low information voter who goes in and votes based on name recognition. But I bet the Rs will useevery dirty trick to suppress the vote.

The big corporations, billionaires, and other masters of the universe think this country belongs to them. It's time to let them know who's the boss. Close you wallets. If you need to spend, buy local and small business where possible. They need us more than we need them. #walletsclosed

The corporations used the excuse of supply chain issues to jack up prices during covid and made record profits. They will do it again with tariffs. Don't let them get away with it.

If you are being frugal and only spending your money on necessities for the time being, tariffs won't be that big a deal and there won't be all that imaginary money pouring into the treasury. #walletsclosed

Now that Bezos has caved on showing people what the tariffs are going to cost customers, now would be a great time to ask yourself if you really need that Amazon Prime membership. I haven't had one for several years and do just fine.

My SO has been on reddit since the beginning. This evening he discovered he his account suspended or in time out because he had made a comment critical of Muskolini. Doesn't recall what he said but reddit claims it incited violence. He's always careful about what he says online.

I haven't had Amazon Prime in years. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything that I can't find elsewhere or locally. I have enough stuff on my watchlists to keep me busy for a long time. Jeff Bezos doesn't need my money and everyone should ask themselves if he needs theirs.
