If you haven't read it already I strongly urge everyone to read this book. It's a quick read and even for someone like me who has been convinced of Zuckerberg's evil influence on the world for some years, it is jaw droppingly terrifying.

I did quite a bit during lockdown but I get bored with it. It just doesn't absorb me enough. I'm one of those people who does a lot of things "quite well" but I always get pulled back to words. Reading and writing are where I'm most satisfied.
Here's some winter jasmine for you 🙃

Frank Auerbach (whose death was announced this morning) drew his sitters over and over again, erasing the image after each session so that only an outline remained.
He once estimated that 95% of his paint ended up in the bin.
This is a self-portrait from 1958.

Yesterday I followed a lot of people I don't know. Now comes a period of discovery. If I like what they post they stay.
Already tired of people talking about Twitter.
I've also been reading, gardening, and watching the Women's 100 Cricket which I really enjoy.
A very good Saturday.

Seems like it's playing out with Musk and Theil funding their puppets helped by some more shadowy funders ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sov...

What are you planning to get done this week?
Everything we need is only a click away. In a gaming context this involves gaining extra powers/abilities. Do you need anything extra to get things done this week or do you already have what you need?
What's your plan?

Hilary Murfin has adapted the way she works because arthritis has greatly limited the movement in her hands.
Her new work involves capturing shadows and working the intricate lettering on old family documents into them producing hauntingly beautiful and delicate images
