I checked and found some info: the first Swede to describe this beautiful flower (in the 18th century) found a large population at the king’s meadow.

Thanks for sharing. So beautiful! The checkered ones are spectacular. Very rare here in Sweden. I have some in my garden and really take care that they will survive.
