The global liberation of the sacred #cocaleaf is critical to uphold the rights of Indigenous Peoples of the Andean Amazonian region. #Coca has been prohibited for more than half a century based on racist & colonial prejudice. The #WHO has started a long overdue review.

🌿 Banning the coca leaf was never about science or safety, but colonial prejudice and control. As the @who.int reviews the plant’s status, Indigenous rights and evidence of clear benefits must be central.
