Verdict: a little too close textured (underproved I think) but definitely the best yeasted loaf I've ever baked. There's hope I'll be a bread baker yet

Saw a bunch of these guys procreating all over my hydrangea so I did a Google lens search to see if I needed to be concerned. Much to my delight, one of the names they're known as is the "hogweed bonking beetle" (and they're pretty harmless).
