@jd-vance-1.bsky.social I don't see how the States are any better at making these sorts of decisions. People running states have neither the medical nor psychological knowledge. This is just a refusal to deal with the issue, and whether it shouldn't in fact be left to each individual family.

I am out of words. Deeply shocked by what I heard today. The part that shocks me is not changing sides, although it flies in the face of not just US morality but eons of Western morality. As a medievalist, I think about the moral code constantly pushed on the knights in every epic poem: (1)

Sadly, even as I look at posts here on Bluesky, no one seems to realize that Elon Musk is engineering a coup. He has gained access to the sensitive payment systems at the Treasury and all our information, yet no one (besides the the national park group) seems the least bit concerned.
