I mean, it's true of the right-wing party in basically every country. The billionaires pay politicians to gin up divisions to get poor/middle class people to hate each other so they don't collectively turn their ire on the billionaires who actually are plundering everything for themselves.

In fairness - a lot of people have been so systemically lied to that they lack the capacity to realize they *aren't* debating in facts. You can tell that immediately when you get the "they should come in the right way" argument - it tells you they have no idea how broken "the right way" is.
