I'm doing the best I can, and my husband supports me with everything and understands, but I'm so tired of having to justify my pain/struggle to others.

Where do you all draw the line between the "I need to keep going" and "I can't continue"? How do you manage when you can't "fix" the problem? End/🧵

All the work+cold weather has been taking a toll on my physical health. I can barely move, but I'm forcing it because "I need to keep going. I have to work. It still needs done". I try to rest as much as I can at home, but it's caused some conflict with others who don't understand my condition. 2/🧵

Expressing love with actions is honestly the most sincere. Like the shark week slush +extra gummies just because. 🥰

Thanks! I was hoping it would help, but I didn't want to make anything more confusing. Having a disability is hard enough, trying to explain how it restricts your daily life just makes it feel unbearable sometimes. I personally don't like having to "justify" why I can't do something...

Hopefully the video game idea is more useful, but honestly whatever helps you explain. Is it like a phone battery-some apps drain a lot faster than others. No one says you have to use spoons if it's not making you feel understood. Be kind to yourself, you can work thru those ideas in your own time.

Please feel free to use it! Whatever language best explains your personal experience is enough. I just feel like even in the Healthcare system, where we are EXPLICITLY told to trust a patient on their pain, not enough providers actually "understand" what that means. Use whatever words get you heard.

Hidden diagnosis is just as valid as a visible one. My husband @rikosiempre.vtubers.social uses a cane because of a physical disability. I am fully "hidden" with chronic pain disorders & mental health. He hasn't ever used spoons, I keep having to re-explain it to him. You can use whatever fits you!

That's another great analogy! Focus/concentration on spells. Some take longer to cast and if you're interrupt it fails.

And in most games you can't go negative. If you have no energy, the action doesn't trigger. Life can "go negative", but your debuff is going to be worse later in punishment...

My point - someone asking for a healing spell is NOT asking you to tank for them! They literally just need the compassion of sharing a potion, or you sacrificing 10 mana on a spell that would cost them 30 due to the debuff.
Be kind to your party! Share resources, and we all win.
