That’s not the issue. I think it’s awesome that she lets her property be used and gets involved. AND 50% of managed hives collapsed last year. That’s 50% of our bees dead. There will be people who’ll try to keep bees because they watched how easy it was for her. Poorly managed hives spread disease.

Agreed. I don’t think people understand that approx. 50% of managed hives didn’t make it through this winter. I’m not concerned about her beekeeper. I’m concerned that her viewers will think that is beekeeping and try it in a uniformed way that will increase disease and hive collapse.

Even if it were, she wouldn’t read it. But YOU did and that’s what matters. Every day people need to know that hive collapse is real and #beekeeping isn’t an every other month thing for regular folks.
