The top federal prosecutor in New York and a team of Justice Department officials in Washington resigned after a demand by the Trump administration to drop corruption charges against New York Mayor Eric Adams, people familiar with the resignations said.

Five other Justice Department officials also submitted resignations, gutting the Public Integrity Section, which investigates public officials and election crimes.
