I too adore this book, and spent much of my childhood in Narnia.
On re-reading it, one weird thing that struck me was when Mr Tumnus makes his first appearance. The narrative switches back and forth between calling him "it" and "he".
It felt a bit.. species-ist!? 🤨😆
