These are the things I’m talking about that remind me of other cases I mentioned. Should she have brought them home? No. If my life was combed over I’m sure there are things that look suspicious if I was accused of murder but are just things I didn’t even think was that bad in my day to day life.

Yeah not cool, does it make her a murderer? I’m not sure. Maybe if there were only ones related to babies she apparently harmed or even if every baby was there but neither is the case.

I can’t even argue with my 13 year old and string a proper sentence together. If a lawyer, police officer or even just a man with a loud voice was to question me I’d come across as crazy, flustered, and probably guilty. Hence lies my issues with an adversarial court system.

Imagine you are at your lowest point, you’ve been going through this for 5 years and now you have to make legal decisions that are make or break and every tiny thing you say is twisted and questioned for weeks on the stand. Do you think you would be able to defend yourself?

No matter what she said on the stand the prosecution called her a liar. They hounded her, tried to confuse her, painted her as a predator who chased an older, doctor who clearly had the balance of power.

Imagine you’ve spent 5 years being told you are a baby killer, been in jail for 3 years, had you whole life destroyed and image splashed all over the news with the words “baby killer” to say she had her chance to tell her side of the story is a bit ingenious.

I feel her defence was abysmal. I think the “bombshells” come from the fact that the news only reported one side. Even if they reported her defence it was hidden behind a head line like “I am evil” or something. A lot of people didn’t hear the other side. 1

I’d argue that doesn’t contradict what the guardian wrote. She can have both done something on her own and also been encouraged by others. Although the guardian isnt without fault because I’m sure they have gotten many things wrong I would trust them over the mirror or the mail most of the time..

We (Aus) recently freed Kathrine Folbigg who was wrongfully convicted. I grew up in the Lindy chamberlain era . When I read about the letby trial I noticed similarities. I wanted to see guilt & was left with enough doubt that I’d like to see a retrial. I don’t think she had a fair trial that’s all

No, I completely understand. I saw a post saying “Lucy was framed by gay, (racist slur) doctors who worship the devil” doesn’t really make the rest of us look great 😬. The internet is full of absolute cookers 1/2

Yep, I personally think weird, the same lulu posted this and said it fairly represents her so 🤷🏼♀️ I can admit those 6 might be “fans” 🫠 it’s easy to paint anyone uncomfortable with the trial with the same brush I guess. A card maybe if you thought she was innocent, but a party? 😬

Again, not all the parents. There are 5 babies not represented. As I said unless they have all public stated their opinions there is no way of knowing how they feel.

They have not all made their opinions about press conferences and reports to the ccrc known so you don’t know if any of them have doubts, just those who have commented publicly.
