Oh, and the grant title, is, "RAPID: The Impact of COVID on Childrens Well-being in 2022: Continued Evidence from the Understanding America Study" --so I'm not sure at all how it could have been flagged?

Well the grant proposal itself doesn't have any trigger words. No "DEI," "equity," "inclusion," "disparities..." nothing. It mentions diverse only to describe our researchers' areas of focus, e.g. health, economics, aging, and race/ethnicity among a list of groups for which heterogeneity is common.
