Also the talent visa in in the states which allows Australian citizens into the States has largely been left untouched. So companies in the states could well be eying up Australians as it would be way less mess than say H1B1 now.

A lot of the skill base will be hard to get back too, you don't build up the talent like this overnight.
Loads will go overseas, and others will be picked up into lucrative jobs in the private sector.
