It's a simple thing to fix. Add "respond as though" in a few places and it goes from stupid to mildly interesting but expected. They predict expexted human output via mathematical models. Humans get anxiety so the AI responds as though it does.

It would be, if that was what he was doing. The text of the show shows him networking people together, but they clearly (Salo and Huck specifically) are obviously still themselves. They have their own individual regrets, they speak to Viktor etc. It isn't until after E6 he goes toward a hive mind.

My own personal hell has been people who assume Viktor's commune and ideals were evil purely because everyone wasn't flesh anymore. I would argue if Viktor continued to behave consistent with his character there would have been nothing wrong with it.
