Increased #ownership granularity includes ownership connections at a 5% threshold, all levels of ownership (subsidiaries, SPVs, etc.), references/citations for each ownership connection, and (soon to come) timestamps for the last time each ownership connection was verified.

This initiative should allow #LEI users access to asset-level data on #energy and heavy emitting assets, a pathway to an independent verification of financed #emissions (thanks to our role as the ownership leads at @climatetrace.org ), and increased ownership granularity in the #ESG and space.

It also includes several extractive industries such as coal mines, iron ore mines, and iron and steel plants.

We will be launching a new section, likely in late July, that maps for corporate ownership for the cement and concrete sector - which accounts for roughly 8% of global emissions.

Plus, ownership covers many more fossil fuel and heavy emitting assets: coal plants, oil and gas plants, coal mines, steel plants, bioenergy power, and natural gas transmission pipelines.

Soon we will also cover crude oil and natural gas liquid transmission pipelines and cement and concrete plants.
