Happy Thanksgiving! This historical marker is in my hometown of York, PA, from where Contintental Congress proclaimed the First National Thanksgiving in November 1777.

Those aren't too appealing, even as a novelty.
I've done a chicken cake, so a turkey is doable. Not hard, but takes time.

Happy Birthday, President Biden!

In loving & grateful remembrance of my father, George Ivanish, on this Veterans Day, and with special appreciation for my Uncles Andy, Mike, & Bob, as well as friends and all others who have so honorably served our country...THANK YOU. Dad was proudly part of the ANTIFA effort in WWII, as I am now.

The East Wing is a more recent addition & not quite so old, BUT it still has much historical merit and even if rebuilt, it'll never garner the same awe as regarding the original because of those who literally walked its halls. Attached is a brief history from Wikipedia (Is the bunker going, too?).

Some history of the White House East Wing, from Wikipedia.
I wonder if he'll still have his hidey-hole or will that go, too?

We lost #JohnDenver today in 1997. His concerts were incredible & inspiring. I wrote "Kindred Spirits" after my first one. It began as a thank you to him, now is a tribute. Five years later, I wrote another homage, "To Live The Song," a song of remembrance to celebrate his life & legacy.

I'm sure he wasn't expecting THIS! Probably feared for his life! They were so GOOD. They didn't let him get away, but just held him until police arrived. Salute to Seattle's youth! 🫡🫡🫡 Kudos!

Me, too. "The Great Stone Face." And we should give a respectful nod to the great Harold Lloyd, as well. Best known for hanging from a high clock, he also had a great chase scene in "Why Pick On Me?"

I hear it was some of his staff. Whether on purpose remains to be seen, but he did demand an investigation. I'm inclined to think he didn't read the sign:

I guess he didn't read the sign...

I wrote this parody of that song:

My heart is aching for the loss & suffering from the attack on York County law officers on Wed. Ironically, I wrote the attached poem/song after another senseless shooting in our community.
Today, I offer it in honor & remembrance, in gratitude & appreciation, and with my deepest sympathy.

I'm not a subscriber, but I think I'll still send an email. They have products to purchase and parks to visit, and I can still advocate to censor them as they have done to Kimmel. And I can attach this reminder on the subject from a much wiser president.

Posting this for the 24th Anniversary of 09/11, its memories indelibly etched in the hearts and minds of those of us who witnessed this horrific event and its aftermath firsthand.
NEVER FORGET.

If this was the shooter, it WAS quite a distance, definitely a sharpshooter possibility.

No? 🤔 This surely looks and sounds like declaring a threat to me!

Glad the jerk was caught doing it, but I honestly doubt he'll change. His admission of wrongdoing amounts to an attempt at damage control ONLY BECAUSE HE WAS CAUGHT. As a CEO, his entitled behavior imparts a sour impression not only of him but of the business he heads.
