5)I think a better idea would be to ensure revenue is collected from the wealthiest Americans. If we did that, we'd protect the revenue needed for the federal budget and could even explore broader and fair tax breaks for the Americans not in the wealthiest tax brackets.

4)Additionally, we are supposed to be looking for ways to work toward improving our budget situation. This does the opposite and means that the loss of revenue from these taxes, which is significant, has to be made up elsewhere. That could risk Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security to name a few.

3) Other reasons are that I fear that this will not actually help tip workers. What about OASDI calculations? When they go to retire and their income looks like they've only paid into OASDI the taxable part on what is considered income, they'll have virtually nothing to live on.

2)Yes, I do! I care for the tip workers and I care for the non-tip workers as well. It is unfair to ask for all Americans except for tip workers and the wealthy to pay income tax. People with low income jobs who are not tip workers will still have to pay and this does nothing to help them.
