Haha turns out I was the problem the whole time. I completely dropped the ball on this one.

We Do This 'Til We Free Us by Mariame Kaba

This book is on my digital bookshelf and it was so inspiring and made me feel like change was possible and within reach. I would recommend it to literally anyone.

I know the world is on fire and everything is bad but if you need some whimsy in your life to recharge, I beg you to watch the movie Legend (1985). The proto monster romance influence is unreal. Tim Curry as 10 ft demon. Goth princess is S tier. Omg ✨glitter✨ I feel nothing for bb Tom Cruise.

Just finished When Women Were Dragons by Kelly Barnhill. The perfect book to get through the first week of this gd circus. Sometimes all we have energy for is ourselves. Sometimes we can change the world. Our power is always greater than we remember when we're ready to use it.

There are 6 teams of 6 players each and the branding for each of the teams is A+.
The teams are not representing any geographic region, so you can pick on vibes alone. I mean look at these logos!

The merch is really stylish (imo) and you know I got a Founding Fan tee. It's literally their first season so it's a great time to start watching. The production value is extremely high. It streams on Max.

For a guy that loves guns, Sylus has terrible muzzle awareness.
It still has the magazine in it. And he didn't take it apart.
Sir, you're very cute but what are you doing?

As a treat for finishing my short story I downloaded Love and Deep Space onto my iPad.

There are about 50 different currencies, 10 million game mechanics and idk what I'm doing but I finally met Silas.

Babes, let me tell you, he's the perfect trigger for your white lace front wig syndrome. 👀

This is what I'm leaving in 2024, taking into 2025, and my goals as a reader, writer, and audiobook producer.

My Storygraph Wrap Up from 2024

I rate almost everything 4/5 stars unless I found a book harmful. I know how hard writing is and I can't stand to hurt someone's creative spirit in a public way. Unfortunately ratings don't exist in a vacuum.

Favorite Series:
Living Legend series by Allie Shante
Uncharted Hearts by Constance Fey
Ruinous Love Trilogy by Brynne Weaver
Legendborn series by Tracy Deonn

What else is there to say. These series have been some of the highlights of my year. I can't wait to read the next one.

Funniest Read: Lights Out by Navessa Allen

This book is so funny. Allen absolutely nailed the funny, nerdy guy, and the masked thirst trap.

Favorite Audiobook: System Collapse by Martha Wells

The Murderbot audiobooks are undefeated for me. Kevin R. Free *is* Murderbot. When I read the books that's the voice I hear. They're perfect and at this this is my comfort series.

Favorite Reread: Slashed by Thalia Sanchez

I loved this story so much, I read it twice and I'm not a big rereader. It's *that* good.

Darkest Read: The Poisoner by I.V. Ophelia

This book made me question if I'm actually a dark romance reader and I'm so invested in what will happen in the sequel.

When you know the paranormal, horror, and fantasy girlies that forgive women's wrongs and crave feminine rage will love your thriller short story but you don't wanna give too much away...

It's the first short story in this collection.
