More on dreams. I was telling Jesse about a nightmare: I was holding for dear life to a metal beam suspended from a Cloud-City style hotel. He asked why I didn’t just fly to safety.
I had to explain to him you can’t fly in dreams without a running start. That’s why power lines are so annoying.

Apartment living is all fine and dandy till the toilets collectively overflow and you have to manically text your upstairs neighbor to turn off their water so you don’t have water seeping through your ceiling. Again.

I can control myself in dreams, and I try to make them better when things go awry. Nightmares happen when other characters (often people I know) don’t follow suit. At that point I’ve gotta wake myself up and reboot.
Typing that up, it doesn’t sound like a normal human experience. But also, yes?
