That's a wrap on 6 months of Lonely Planet projects! I worked on 3 titles this year, writing the Lyon & Auvergne chapter for the France guide, editing & updating a Provence guide, & curating France content for the Europe guide. If you're looking for a writer/editor/curator get in touch.

I spent the last few months regretting being a 'yes girl' after signing up for France's toughest trail run, L'Échappée Belle. The shortest distance, 20km, had 2000m +/-, & some seriously technical terrain. Surprise, I LOVED it, & the story is coming soon for Outside.

I came home to find three beautiful guidebooks waiting for me! I wrote the full Brittany & Normandy Rough Guides update, and for Top 10 Corsica and Corsica for DK I was part of a team of two and three writers respectively.

Here's what guidebook work in the Ardèche for Lonely Planet looks like with a 10-week-old puppy.

I've got 2 stories in the latest Breeze, the in-flight mag for Cyprus Airways. I spoke to the young artist making handbags from porcelain in Paris, and 3 under 30s who carved gargoyles for Notre-Dame.

One of the (many) great things about living in Lyon is ease of access. In the last week I've been to Nîmes, Paris & Les Saisies, & now I'm in the Dordogne. All by bus or train, plenty of 5am starts but plenty of exciting projects to make it worth it!

This weekend we cut ourselves off from the world in Jura on a survival course. We spent 30 hours without food, built and slept in our own igloos, and made fire with no matches. This wasn't work (this was actually my Christmas present), but you bet I'll write about it!

For the latest issue of National Geographic Traveller, I’ve written about how to eat your way around Cognac, and why it’s not just about brandy.

Pick up the latest issue of Wanderlust, where I’ve written a 4 page advertorial on one of my favourite places: Corsica.

130 years ago, the Lumière brothers invented cinema in Lyon. The production side of the film industry is still overwhelmingly male, but these women are making waves. P23-25, for @wizzair.bsky.social

It's snow season, but this WE at Les Menuires we swapped downhill skiing for XC. We had the pistes almost entirely to ourselves, &went off-piste in our 2nd lesson!
*Disclaimer: on day 1 I spent a lot of time on the ground. The falls were quite spectacular.

The most varied of weekends in Samoëns, skiing, snowshoeing, learning to make a charlotte russe and wine tasting in a tipi. Thank you @montagnes.bsky.social and Samoëns!

It's great to see my third project for Julien Audigier come together so perfectly! I translated the English part of this bilingual guide to Haute-Savoie. Julien's photos are absolutely dreamy.

I won an award this month for my first ever guidebook, #PaddlingFrance for Bradt Guides, & I am not being at all cool or chilled about it 🥳

All who visit the house must kiss the trophy.
(Joking, I don't want everyone's dribble on my lovely trophy).
