Every week I post something about what I am listening, reading and thinking.
Listening this week (#6) – L’albero delle noci by Brunori Sas. Back to Italy, with probably the only artist at Sanremo truly worthy of the title. A pleasant album that sits firmly in my comfort zone—but in the best way.

Listening this week (#5) – Choke Enough by Oklou. As part of my resolution to broaden my musical horizons beyond Italian, British, and U.S. artists, I’m diving into the dreamy pop of this French singer. Her sound has a special vibe—like being inside a video game.

Listening this week (#4) – Acqua Santa by Francesco Di Bella. He was the voice of 24 Grana, a band I loved in high school. This album blends familiar sounds with fresh elements from its many collaborations—some with artists I already love.

Listening this week (#3) – Hallucinating Love by Maribou State. My boyfriend had been impatiently waiting for this one, so this week is all about their new album. It’s smooth, easy listening, and I can’t stop singing “All I Need”.

Listening this week (#2) - Big Swimmer by King Hannah. Still catching up on the best albums of 2024 I might have missed. This Liverpool duo creates a sound that feels both cinematic and hypnotic—perfect for getting lost in. Mesmerizing so far.

Listening this week (#1) - Manning Fireworks by Mj Lenderman. Onda Rock says the album is perfect for trips to the supermarket, fixing a sink, or calmly watching the sunset. The Guardian describes Mj Lenderman's music as “a warmth that runs counter to a wet and biting Monday.” Sounds about right.
