it seems the loneliness epidemic is spreading when you have teens and young adults spending 14hours+ on these programs frantically seeking reassurance that never really arrives. their basic need for acceptance remains unfulfilled - and that void can crush a person (3/3)

people frequently use ai bots and llms as ‘manufactured reassurance machines’ when expressing worries and being reassured by another person is *fundamental* to building healthy relationships with others AND healthy self esteem/acceptance (2/3)
