Saw my first brood emergence of Magicicada septendecim yesterday with the Ware Lab!! And @entobiologist.bsky.social found the first crayfish species that was described in North America, Cambarus bartonii! So cool and such a wholesome day - I love our lab!!:))

Moved the insect and mollusk collection from Long Island University to the American Museum of Natural History yesterday with @jessicalwarelab.bsky.social @mantodeology.bsky.social @mollusksatamnh.bsky.social @rebeccalopez.bsky.social and others friends! The diversity of mollusks was awesome!!

Had so much fun surveying aquatic inverts, building a drift fence, setting out gills nets and minnow traps for fish demographics, and collecting eDNA with some dear friends this weekend in the Adirondacks! 💌
